Fab Thanksgiving

Hi stampers! Well, another two weeks have passed without me posting a single card. :-/ I will try to do better. I have finished all of my stamping events for the year, so I should have more "fun stamping" time over the next few weeks and will hopefully have more cards to post soon.

Believe it or not, it is already time for another fun Fab Friday challenge. Mindy has a color challenge for us this time. I think these colors are really pretty together and just scream fall to me. What do you think?

I made a Thanksgiving card for this challenge. I have to admit that I did have a little bit of trouble with this color combination at first. I wasn't sure how to incorporate the Midnight Muse, so I decided to use it the same way that I would use black or any other dark neutral in a card. Here is my interpretation of the colors using sketch #59 from Freshly Made Sketches. I hope you like it.

Stampin' Up Supplies Used:
Stamps: Day of Gratitude, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Midnight Muse, Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Spice Cake DSP (retired)
Ink: Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Crumb Cake
Accessories: Essentials Paper Piercing Pack, Stampin' Pierce Mat, Paper Piercing Tool, Scallop Square punch, Antique Brad, Basic Pearls, Midnight Muse Stitched Satin ribbon

Thanks for stopping by! Now hop on over to Fab Friday and play along with us!

This guy is pretty big and would hold one (or maybe even two) larger candy bars or a large bag of m&m's or Skittles. For more details, click here

#8 Pumpkin Treat Holder
This small pumpkin will hold approximately three Hershey's nuggets or kisses.
It would be great for a small class Halloween treat or a Thanksgiving treat.

Halloween Treats

These are the last two projects that we will be making at my fall buffet. I wanted to incorporate a couple of treat holder options. I saw these ideas online and thought they were so cute!

This first project is a large treat holder that will hold lots of candy. It could fit a large bag of Skittles or M&M's or a larger candy bar. It could also be filled with a lot of smaller candies. There are two die cuts made from the Top Note die with a box in between them.

Stamps: none
Paper: Lucky Limeade, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: Big Shot, Top Note die, Simply Scored, 1 3/8" Circle punch, Curly Label punch, 1/2" Circle punch
Inspired by this project

This treat holder is much smaller and would be perfect to send in a little something to a child's classroom or it could even be used as a small treat for Thanksgiving dinner. Like the Frankenstein box above, it is a box with a pumpkin on each side. It would hold three Hershey's nuggets or kisses.

Stamps: none
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Gumball Green, Early Espresso
Ink: none
Accessories: Extra-Large Oval punch, Big Shot, Little Leaves Sizzlit, Word Window punch
Inspired by this project

Here is a side-by-side picture so you can see the size comparison between the two. Despite being quite different is size, they will take approximately the same amount of time to create.
