Need a Reason to Smile?

If so, I have one! It's this great little floral set called (what else?) Reason to Smile! I'm having a lot of fun with this set and it is only available in July. The best part is that it is a great deal- $5 with a $50 order! How awesome is that?

Here is a fun card that I made for the challenges over at Freshly Made Sketches (even though I totally missed the challenge deadline) and Dynamic Duos. I love Rich Razzleberry paired with Old Olive. It has to be one of my all time favorite combinations, so I had to play along with the challenge at Dynamic Duos.

Isn't that little flower so pretty? I am a sucker for floral sets! I also used another stamp from Reason to Smile on the Basic Gray background piece. The sentiment is what I like to call a "happy accident". I tried stamping the sentiment directly onto the panel with the flower and I stamped it extremely crooked, but rather than starting over, I decided to cover it. I stamped the sentiment again and punched it out and then added some piercing around the edge of the oval using the Essentials Paper-Piercing Kit, which is a brand new product and I LOVE it. It's so much fun and adds such a nice touch to do a little piercing on the card! Here is a close-up of the sentiment so you can see the piercing.

I like the card so much better with the sentiment done this way rather than my original idea. That's why I say that there are no mistakes in card making, just opportunities for embellishment (definitely not my quote- I read it somewhere, but it is so true)!

I hope you liked the card! Here are the challenges so you can play along too.

Thanks for stopping by!
